What if I told you that you have more control over your experience than you realize and that it’s all a simple math equation that you already have the answer to? Would you solve it? Let’s talk spiritual math.

I will attempt to keep this article as simple as possible so that a non-Math person can understand and apply these spiritual math concepts.

I will also cite sources where you can go deeper into math principles if you so choose.

What is Spiritual Math as opposed to regular Math?

Short for Mathematics, Math is a universal language and a fundamental tool for understanding the physical world around us. It is the study of numbers, quantities, and shapes, and their relationships to one another.

Math is used to describe and model the behavior of natural phenomena, from the smallest particles in the universe to the largest structures in the cosmos. It is the foundation of science, technology, engineering, and finance, and plays a crucial role in almost every aspect of our daily lives.

Similarly, Spiritual Math is a term that refers to the use of mathematical concepts and principles in exploring spiritual or metaphysical ideas. It recognizes that math is not just a tool for understanding the physical world, but also has the potential to illuminate deeper truths about the nature of reality and our place in it.

Spiritual Math can involve the use of geometry, numerology, and other mathematical techniques to explore concepts such as the interconnectedness of all things, the nature of consciousness, and the relationship between the material and spiritual realms.

It can be seen as a way to bridge the gap between science and spirituality and to provide a language for exploring the mysteries of the universe beyond what can be perceived through our physical senses.

Are you ready to add more to your life or would you simply like to remain equal to the negativity that seems to exist?

0 and 1

0 and 1 are the basis of all computing systems and operations, including circuitry. Often referred to as the binary number system, 1 and 0 represent two choices, which can be displayed in a myriad of ways…yes & no, true & false, on & off, ok & cancel. You get the idea.

I won’t get into the details of binary, but if you want to learn more, check this article on How To Read Binary.

As I said earlier, 1 and 0 can be used to represent true and false, which means only one of these numbers is true, 1.

0 does not exist. It’s imaginary.

Mathematically speaking, since zero is both nonpositive and its own square root, then zero can be considered imaginary.

But I’m speaking logically. If 1 represents true, then zero represents false.

They can never be equal. And if both existed equally, we would not.

What is true can never be false. What is false can sometimes seem true, but it can never be.

Since falseness is inconsistent with itself, it has no foundation of truth to stand on. It is imaginary.

Truth on the other hand, or 1, is always true no matter what.

This is the basis of spiritual math.

If something truly exists, it shares the same properties as 1 or as truth.

Now we can begin to understand the expressions, “All are 1” and “Everything is one.”

So what is 0 really?

0 is more like “not 1”.

For example, if 1 represents all that is right, good, true, holy, and magnificent, then what is its opposite?

It has no opposite, but more on that later.

For now, we’ll accept the usual representation of the opposition, which would be considered wrong, sinful, false, unholy, and weak.

So for example, if something is “not good”, many would say it’s bad or sinful.

In other words, “not good” is to sinful as “not 1” is to 0.

What should begin to be clear now is that what is “not” is not. “Not” is not real and you shouldn’t let the idea of what’s not real take up real space in your mind.

The Introduction of 0

Quick history lesson.

It’s hard to say exactly when the concept of 0 was introduced into the world’s mathematics. Just know it wasn’t there from the beginning.

Some say it was first introduced in India around 500 AD. Others say zero dates back to the 7th century in a manuscript called the Bakhshali manuscript that was eventually transmitted to the Islamic world, where it was further developed and eventually introduced to Europe in the 12th century. And still, others say zero was first recorded in Mesopotamia around the year 3 B.C.

Regardless of when it was first brought into awareness, zero has had a profound impact on the development of mathematics, as it enabled the creation of the decimal system, which is still used today.

The introduction of zero also paved the way for the development of algebra and calculus, which would later revolutionize the fields of science and engineering.

And as such, the concept of zero is now considered to be one of the most important contributions to human civilization, as it has had a profound impact on the way we understand and interact with the world around us.

All of this from a false/imaginary number.

Is this to say that algebra and calculus are also false? That’s not for me to say.
I will say, however, applying this technique to the words above, we get some interesting combinations.

Understanding “Not 1”

To put this in full perspective, not 1 can be represented as:

Not complete

Not good

Not truth

Not real

Not rich

Not life

Or:

Incomplete

Sinful

False

Imaginary

Poor

Death

By making “not 1” a thing, many are able to react to it as if it is real and engage with this non-realness on a regular basis.

By this same logic, people are able to react to “not good” as if it were a real thing claiming that “sin is real”.

In the same way that the concept of zero has spawned algebra, calculus, engineering, science, and more….the concept of sin or evil deeds has spawned sickness, death, judgment, mental illness, etc.

This may be a stretch, but then again, it may “not”.

That is the power of “not 1”. It forces you to look at what is not there and experience it as if it was.

Understanding 1

We see what “not 1” is, but what exactly is 1?

Here’s the irony. 1 cannot be fully understood alone, which is also why it’s not good for man to be alone.

To really understand and know anything, you have to live it. And what better way than to live in oneness?

It’s not possible to live in none-ness or zero-ness because then nothing would exist. But with oneness, all things are the same. I’ll explain.

Anything that means anything to you, you have given meaning to it.

I’ll repeat. Anything that means anything to you, YOU have given meaning to it.

Now, look around you. From your body to the room that you’re in, you’ve given some sort of meaning and even value to it.

Without you giving the world meaning, it would in a sense to you be formless and void. A human body would just be clay and a building would just be sticks and stones.

Yet even those comparisons have meaning that you have also given.

Because of your core rootedness in truth, you have the ability to imagine and even use this imagination to project meaning onto that which has none.

Living In Oneness

When oneness is truly lived, you recognize that what is on the inside is also reflected/seen on the outside.

However, when oneness is falsely lived, what you see seems imbalanced or unequal.

The reason is that the oneness law is inescapable. It is what you are.

Even in an imagined conflicting world of 1s and 0s, you still live in oneness because the laws & rules you apply to others, you are also subjected to.

1 = 1. Always.

1 represents All. And within All lies even the possibility/illusion of not, or 0.

This is why you could judge someone as naive or ignorant when they don’t believe what you believe, and yet in this misbelief, they don’t share the consequence that would befall you, had you lived their beliefs.

This is also why you may perceive certain friends as lucky or able to get away with what you could never. Your perceived oneness within does equal another’s perceived oneness within. Each are mixed with a combination of 1s and 0s.

Even though neither of you may be living 100% aligned with truth, both of you are still experiencing aspects of the law of oneness in your own way.

So what is within always appears without.

Opposite vs Equal

You may have heard that you live in a world of duality. Binary language is a representation of duality meaning there are two sides to all. But as I said earlier, 1 has no opposite. This is because it has no other sides. It’s all-encompassing. 1 = 1 = 1 = 1 = 1, forever and ever.

Modern math represents opposite numbers as their negative counterpart. So it would claim that the opposite of 1 is -1.

However, -1 is also an imaginary number. It can’t be represented physically.

If an imaginary number is not real then it is equal to every other imaginary number in its not-realness.

What’s imaginary is equal to what’s imaginary.

To claim that something is opposite another is another matter indeed.

An opposite must be as powerful as the other to be considered a true opposite.

One wouldn’t judge another as their enemy unless they believe this person is as capable or even more capable than them.

Mathematically speaking, stating that 1 = 1 or 0 = 0 is a true representation of equal and opposite.

Saying that 1 ≠ 0 is not representing opposition or equality, but just stating the obvious.

So while you’re continuing to give parts of your world a negative meaning, recognize that these parts or circumstances should have no power over you because firstly, you’ve given meaning to it thus making you its maker. And secondly, what has no power or what has imaginary power shies away when in the presence of true power, you.

1 Division

Sounds like a singing group, huh?

Now that we understand the all-encompassing nature of 1, what would happen if 1 could be split?

Let’s divide.

Why divide? Because again, to truly understand something, you have to live it, being within it and it within you.

To keep it simple, we’ll divide 1 evenly.

We’ll say 1 divided by 2.

Commonly in math, 1 divided by 2 is considered one half, but let’s use the symbol … ½.

But actually, it’s ½ + ½. The other half didn’t magically disappear. It’s just that for some reason, mathematicians were focused on the subset.

So now we have 2 equal parts of ½.

Since we know that 1 is considered good, let’s restate that. 1 is good.

Now we split 1 (or good) into 2.

You now have 2 parts good. Yet each one represents half of good.

If we took one of the halves and regarded it as whole, what is it made up as?

It’s still good because, from the perspective of all of good, it’s half of itself.

Some would even say it’s just half good. To which I would ask, then what’s the other half made up as?

This is where things get confusing to individual minds, similar to halved minds.

It believes that part of itself is missing or cut off simply because it chooses to be halved or not connected.

So instead of regarding itself as whole, it seeks another half.

Now it’s getting interesting.

But let’s say this ½ judges its other ½ as being bad.

From the judgment of the first ½, this half now unknowingly sees itself as bad simply because, ½ = ½.

And since what’s bad could never equal what’s good, the self-judged divides again to search for ½ good, but each half is halved making it a fourth, an eighth, a sixteenth, and so on.

Are you with me?

Plugging In Real Values

Let’s look at this another way.

Good = ½Good + ½Good

If we subtract ½Good from both sides, we get…

Good – ½Good = ½Good

So:

½Good = Good – ½Good

Since it’s getting confusing, let’s give these all names to simplify.

We’ll name Good as Christ. The first ½Good would be Adam and the other ½Good would be Eve.

Let’s list all the equations we can to represent this using basic math.

Christ = Adam + Eve
Adam = Christ – Eve
Eve = Christ – Adam
Adam = Eve

Now Adam and Eve both feel incomplete. They’ve been cut off in a sense from each other. Yet from the perspective of Christ, nothing has been lost. Christ still has all parts of himself.

From the perspectives of Adam and Eve, something is not right.

So Adam attempts to join with Eve and the two feel good together.

Then Eve does something Adam does not agree with and he judges her as bad. But Adam equals Eve? So Adam has unknowingly or unconsciously judged himself as bad.

Since they are all that is, they still mix and mingle. They have two kids together.

From the perspective of Christ, nothing has been lost.

Christ = Adam + Eve + Child 1 + Child 2

It may seem like Christ has gained. This is true, but not in the way you think. The energy or value of Christ is still the same, however, the energy that makes up Christ has shifted and new possibilities are formed, but still all within the 1.

Now from the perspective of Adam, he may believe he’s greater than the others.

Adam < Christ

Yet, Adam believes:

Adam > Eve
Adam > Child 1
Adam > Child 2

But truly:

Adam = Eve

And now also:

Adam = Child 1
Adam = Child 2

But because Adam believes he is greater, then he unknowingly or unconsciously made others greater than he in his mind. So to even the playing field or to even out the equation, he has thoughts of attempting to belittle the “others”, not realizing that they are also himself.

This cycle repeats and repeats for each.

Yet Christ is still a happy 1.

And within, the perceived individuals are not ready to accept that the sum of all its parts equals the whole.

In other words, you plus me plus everyone else in existence make up this oneness.

And since all the parts are equal, having a good life is as simple as recognizing the good in all. Because to judge one is to judge yourself.

To state that another way, since you’ve given meaning to all you see, you’re really only seeing yourself. And to then judge against what you see, would directly be judging against yourself.

Bad Math or better yet ‘Not Math’

It’s easy to believe that you’re greater than another because of a misinterpretation of the following equation.

Remember how:

Christ = Adam + Eve

Then to solve for Adam would be:

Adam = Christ – Eve

The misinterpretation comes from the above. Adam may feel that if he gets rid of Eve, then he will be equal to Christ.

But again remember that since Adam is equal to Eve, we can substitute Adam for Eve. So to represent this perceived equation accurately would be:

Adam = Christ – Adam

From Adam’s perspective, he would lose himself in the process.

But since 1 is always 1, Adam would only imagine that he’s lost himself.

Again, from the viewpoint of Christ, the equation is still balanced, we see that:

Christ = Adam + Adam

Going back to this equation and looking at it differently, we have:

Adam = Christ – Eve

Now Adam attempts to remove Eve and…

Adam – Eve = Christ – Eve – Eve

Since Adam equals Eve, we have:

0 = Christ

Since Christ represents 1, we see how untrue this statement is:

0 = 1

It doesn’t and it won’t. Yet that is what happens when you attempt to go against a fellow self.

<s>Takeaways</s> One

What can be concluded from this?

We truly are all connected.

If you judge me, you judge yourself.

If you praise me, you praise yourself.

Negativity has no power because it’s imaginary.

Division is impossible because all parts of the 1 still remain.

What I see has always just been me, so why don’t I start seeing through the eyes of the 1.

If you’ve enjoyed this, here’s another fun thing with numbers tailored to exactly who you are.

Last, check out this rap song 123 which represents both the halved side and then the whole side as outlined in this article.

Death is one of those topics that's a hot button for many people. It seems to be inevitable to all, yet that doesn't make it hurt any less. This article touches that button so that it will no longer hurt at all. Let's get into it.

Living in today’s world, death seems inescapable. Many have even accepted it for themselves and look forward to approaching that day at a future time.

However, many have not accepted it for their loved ones. When a death occurs, it can feel like nothing makes sense and that the world is unfair.

If you are a follower of this blog or my music, you know that I don’t believe in death in the way that many others do.

The intent of this article is not to change your beliefs regarding death. That’s what There Is No Death, No Pain, and No Evil is for.

1. It’s All About You

This is going to come as a shocker, but know that I am saying this with love.

When someone dies, it’s not about you.

That person supposedly lost their life, but you didn’t lose anything.

So if you’re going to feel sad, don’t feel sad for yourself. You’re still here and get to live it up.

Instead, feel sad that they won’t get to live it up, which has nothing to do with you. And then, remember that you don’t need to feel sad at all.

I’m not suggesting that you hold back your feelings. Let them out in a huge cry if you need to.

But then celebrate and honor your memory of them by feeling good that you crossed paths and that the best parts of them are with you always.

2. A Loved One’s Purpose

There is a belief that people exist in this world only for your will. I know, it’s a hidden belief.

You lay claim to these people through your words, i.e. your friends, your family, your this, your that, etc.

Within this belief, you think you know what’s best for them all. You know their highest capabilities and even their incapabilities.

Additionally, you know that whenever you call them, it’s best for them to fulfill your request. That request could be to entertain you, make you feel better, be good company, whatever.

But do you really know this? Do you even know that you think you know this?

Everything and everyone that exists has a purpose or else they would not be here.

In terms of items, when you no longer have a purpose for one, you either throw it away or give it away to be repurposed.

Many of us still don’t even know our own purpose, let alone the purpose of another.

How To Discover Your Purpose

What does this mean?

When you perceive a person’s death, you don’t know if their purpose was fulfilled or not.

You also don’t know if the circumstances surrounding their death were a manifestation of their commonly repeated thoughts.

The person may have gotten exactly what he or she wanted out of life and was ready to transition to something else.

Again, you don’t know.

There’s no sense in being mad or sad over something that you don’t know.

Furthermore, for those that believe in God, as I do. Do you really believe that God’s Will could not be done? Trust It. Trust Him.

He knows what’s best for you and He wants to give it to you. But it’s hard to receive something when you’re denying it.

3. Closing Off Yourself From New Experiences

When you’re a kid, everything is exciting because it’s all-new.

Everything is also exciting because it stays new.

No moment is like the previous one nor do you try to make it that way.

But as you get older, you try to recreate past moments that you felt were great. You deny this moment in favor of one that already happened.

You no longer trust that exciting experiences will be brought to you so you invest in what could never be, the past.

When you live in the past, you try to hold on to everything and everyone exactly as they were in that moment.

Yet you know as well as anyone that people’s thoughts, feelings, and bodies change every second of the day.

This means that by holding on, you are essentially setting yourself up to remain disappointed at all times.

It’s almost like your thoughts of choice are, “I want what I could never again have because I know everything about the world including that everything else would suck in comparison.”

If your thoughts, feelings, and body is changing all the time, that means that what you would enjoy changes all the time as well. God and the universe are always wanting to give to you that which you would enjoy.

But by holding onto one tiny moment that happened infinity moments ago, you are choosing littleness instead of abundance.

In doing this, the only thing that can make you happy is that which could never be.

Let go of the past so that you can experience all that the present has to offer in its glory.

This is not to say to forget about your loved one. This is to say to live now for you both.

4. Communicating with Your Loved One

The loved one is still with you now. Who you are is a combination of yourself and their influences over you. So literally, you are no longer just yourself.

In addition to that, you can actually communicate with your loved ones now as if they are here because, in reality, they are.

Here’s how.

Sit in a comfortable position. Relax completely being fully grounded in the present. Feel your toes touch the floor or your shoes. Let go of any past thoughts or experiences. Make only this moment your focus.

Close your eyes and think of the love shared between you and your loved one. Now say what you would say to them either out loud or to yourself.

Listen to what you receive back from them. It may not be heard with the body’s ears, but it’s definitely felt.

You can do this any time of any day for any length of time. So have at it. Enjoy a full dialogue.

A quote from one of my favorite books A Course In Miracles (ACIM) perfectly sums up why you are able to do this.

“Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.“

And in case you want a bible quote, check out Luke 20:38.

“He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for to Him all are alive.“

5. Holding Onto Form Weakens You

As I mentioned above, you are choosing littleness instead of abundance.

You already accept that your thoughts, beliefs, and body are endlessly changing. And throughout all of these changes, you’ve still always been you.

So what version of your loved one are you trying to hold? And why would you want them to be stuck in a changeless form for your benefit?

There are so many people in your physical awareness right now that would love for you to enjoy them.

But it’s impossible to experience both loss and abundance. Each denies the other and so only one can be true.

If loss was real, then you would be happy to receive it. However, since abundance is real, even the illusion of loss can be.

To believe that your loved ones are only a body is to believe that you are an insignificant speck incapable of anything real.

This is not true. You are the light of the world. Your rays extend beyond any and everything ever-flowing for eternity.

In Conclusion

In conclusion, your loved ones didn’t die. Only your perception of who they were, died.

Let go of this perception so that you can LIVE with them always.

The word "forgiveness" gets thrown around a lot, but it's not fully understood. People say they forgive, but still treat people like they haven't. The main reason is that they don't understand how forgiveness physically heals them. But I'll get into that in this article.

This article was written by JClay, the spiritual rapper and healer. Visit JClay for more wisdom, music, and insights.

Forgiveness is one of those things we hear about all the time that sounds good in theory, but when it happens to us … “I ain’t gone forgive them! They need to pay!”

Why do we give up on our principles so quickly?

Perhaps we never truly believed in forgiveness, to begin with. Or maybe we never understood it but acted as if we did so that we can seem good and noble.

Whatever the case, I’m going to break it down for you here.

By the end of this, you’ll know whether you should join the forgiveness bandwagon or shrug it off forever.

You’ll also understand how forgiveness can give you everything you ever wanted.

And best of all, you’ll be able to explain it to others with ease.

If you stop reading right here then you are stupid!

No, you aren’t. I just wanted to see if you would forgive me and continuing reading.

Besides, you are as smart as the smartest person in the world whether you realize it or not.

What Is Forgiveness?

Forgiveness is the act of one of the following:

no longer feeling angry or resentful toward a person for an offense, flaw, or mistake

canceling a debt

Canceling of a debt

Let’s start with the canceling of a debt owed since it’s simpler to explain.

To perceive that a debt is owed is to also be in debt. This is similar to that of a jailer.

To put one in jail, one must also be confined to that jail in order to watch over the other that is imprisoned. This notion explains why besides the prisoners, prison guards spend the most time at a jail.

When you hold a debt over another, it is held over your head as well. Any time you think of the one that owes you, you are reminded of this debt.

Until the debt is taken care of, it is perceived as a loss or else it would not matter. This loss could be one of money, pride, principle, or any number of self-imprisonments.

Thus whenever you perceive that you are at a loss, you act accordingly. You act as one that loses.

To put it another way, you behave like a loser.

A loser sees the world as a place that takes advantage of him or her. He or she makes loser decisions and speaks loser phrases to anyone that would listen.

Yet this loser is not a loser at all. This person is simply living out the beliefs he or she has set forth in his or her illusion (ill-lose-shun).

So if holding another in your debt puts you in a debt that you weren’t in before, does the canceling of this debt really do anything at all?

No, it simply brings you back to your natural state. This is the state you would have been in had you not declared that someone owes you something.

This is how forgiveness works. It restores what was never broken at all.

Are you with me?

Read this section again if you need to and then proceed.

… for an offense, flaw, or mistake

To fully explain forgiveness in this context, let’s start with what would make you angry.

In the above definition, it says an offense, flaw, or mistake. This can also be called imperfections.

To know what imperfection is, you would have to know what perfection is.

Quick exercise: Close your eyes and for one minute, picture exactly what perfection is.

…

Based on what you saw, try to answer the following to yourself about perfection.

What exactly is perfection?

Is it a certain look? Is perfection a way of speaking? Could it be a certain way a person acts?

If what one person calls a flaw, another calls beauty, and vice versa, can anything really be perfect or imperfect?

Since your meaning of perfect can change tomorrow, is what you’ve seen actually perfection or just your idea of perfection today?

If it’s not so easy to identify perfection, why do you believe it’s easy to witness imperfection? Wouldn’t it be, at best, a guess?

…

Yes, these are a lot of questions. Hopefully, you are answering them and seeing just how flawed your idea of perfection can be.

And if perfection is flawed, should it still be called perfection?

Don’t worry, I’m getting to my point in this.

Without truly knowing the outcome of certain actions, it is impossible to know whether something is an offense, flaw, or mistake at all.

It could all be imagined.

Even the word mistake implies a false view. You mistook what happened.

No longer feeling angry or resentful toward a person …

Now that we’ve addressed what can make you angry, which in a way is nothing at all, let’s talk about you feeling angry or resentful toward another.

When you feel angry or resentful toward another, you are the one that is feeling it.

This is obvious.

But if you have full authority and control over your feelings, why ever feel angry at all. The only logical explanation is that you enjoy it.

Furthermore, if you don’t know that what is happening is actually “bad”, then what’s the real purpose of your anger or resentment?

This again brings us to forgiveness. Forgiveness is only about you, not the one you have yet to forgive.

What Forgiveness Is and Isn’t

Forgiveness does not say that you are a bigger person than the one you are forgiving? It does not say that you have authority over another to absolve them of their actions.

Forgiveness simply brings you back into the awareness of reality instead of what never was.

It is giving up these feelings of anger and/or resentment so that you can be restored to your natural state of peace.

So what forgiveness is saying through you is, “I give up these unwanted feelings caused by what I have no idea about.”

If you are giving up unwanted feelings, you are giving up nothing. Nothing wanted is sacrificed.

What you receive in return is the awareness of what you’ve always been…love, abundance, joy, peace, etc.

Technically, forgiveness doesn’t do anything because it undoes what never was. What never was never needed forgiveness.

An Even Deeper Look at Forgiveness

I know right now many are reading this and saying, “Ok JClay. I get it, but these people really hurt me and did unspeakable things that should never be forgiven.”

There are few things at play when you think similar to this.

First, at this moment you would rather re-live this supposed wrongdoing instead of being happy.

Even though there is never a reason needed to be happy, you could still be happy that this situation is not occurring right now.

You are presently in a safe space. At least it’s safe enough where you can read this article.

Secondly, you are acknowledging that others have control over you and your wellbeing.

This can never be true because the mind controls the body and you control your mind.

By not giving away control of your mind to outside forces, your body is under your complete control always.

I’ll use this example to better illustrate it.

That which you chase will often run away.

Every relationship is a partnership whether it’s a romantic one, friendship, or one of an oppressor & oppressed.

In this example, this is an agreement between the chaser and the one being chased.

Right now if you were at a store and saw a couple of people running toward you at full speed, chances are you would run.

You would have fully accepted your role as one being chased.

However, if in that same situation you instead start running toward those people at full speed, there would be hesitation on their part. They would reassess the terms of the relationship and choose instead to be the ones being chased.

Most likely the original chasers would think, “This person is crazy and must know something that we don’t. Let’s get out of here.”

Similarly, in cases where someone has “wronged” you, you have given him or her full permission to do so.

And since the authority of what happens to you rests solely on you, then you can never truly be mad at another. You can only be mad at yourself.

To be mad is to be crazy. To be crazy at another is to still be crazy.

Don’t be crazy. Forgive them for what they did not and cannot do.

The Mind/Body Relationship Revisited

It’s been understood that the mind controls the body, but what isn’t fully understood is how much.

Your height, muscle mass, “illnesses”, facial expressions, weight consumption, etc are all in your control.

By your control, I don’t mean physically. This is totally relating to the mind.

Your body bends to your intentions of how you want to use your body.

For example, basketball players are usually the tallest in their families despite genetics because they have a habit of reaching for a higher height (the basketball goal).

Likewise, gymnasts are usually the shortest in their families despite genetics because the tighter and stronger their core, the better they can whip their body around.

It doesn’t end there. Your body loses about its weight in normal cell reproduction every year[1], which means physically you have a brand new body every year.

But what blueprint does cell regeneration follow? If you didn’t have these same attributes or illnesses as a child, why are they regenerated now?

It’s because you have created a purpose for this and your body embodies this purpose.

So if your body isn’t real in the sense that it can be regenerated to your likeness at any time, why ever be concerned with what happens to the body?

Cause and Effect

The body is an effect where the mind is the cause. Effects always follow their cause.

Bodies can seem to attack, but minds can never attack.

So when you feel you are wronged, it’s in relation to how you view yourself as a body.

To state it another way. It’s like you’re playing a video game.

When your video game character is hurt by another video game character, you think it means the end of you.

It may only mean the end of your character, but never you.

You can create infinite characters with infinite attributes at will by your beliefs and intentions.

The source of your pain is never rooted in reality because pain does not really exist.

Forgiveness is just the acknowledgment of reality. It’s saying that you forgive another for what they could not do.

How easy is that?

How Forgiveness Heals

Pain is just a manifestation of guilt.

I won’t go into the many causes of the guilt illusion, but this song will help you become and stay guilt-free.

People project guilt onto others so that they won’t have to blame themselves. It’s part of that relationship agreement we spoke about earlier between you and the “guilty” party.

It makes sense because would you rather spend all day being mad at yourself or at another?

Right, at another.

The problem is that what you give, you also receive. So instead of being free of this guilt, you multiply it because you witness the guilt every time you see those you projected it onto.

When you forgive others, this guilt is no longer seen on the faces of those you projected it onto.

Since you don’t witness it, you enjoy the guilt-free world you live in. You also think of and treat others, whom you’ve forgiven, with respect.

And if these individuals don’t already treat themselves with respect, your respect is enough for them to start respecting themselves.

They can now begin forgiving themselves and others so that this healing process can continue with all of mankind.

This is all because of your forgiveness.

In Conclusion

I didn’t want this article to be too long, but I wanted to address as much as possible related to forgiveness.

Message me directly on IG @jclay1st with any personal questions related to forgiveness. Also, pre-order IAMNOBODY, IAMSOMEONE. This album will help you forgive and be healed with very little effort.

This article was written by JClay, the spiritual rapper and healer. Visit JClay for more wisdom, music, and insights.

So you spent all of this time trying to use the law of attraction and you keep getting mixed results.

It’s all right. Once you make these tiny changes, manifestation in your image is inevitable.

The purpose of this article is to show you how you can better attract the life that you want.

By attract, I mean just that. You don’t have to go out and make things happen. Instead, you can sit back and let it all come to you.

It’s fair that you might not even want it. No matter what you want, you can have it and you can have it now.

So let’s do this!

What Is the Law of Attraction?

The law of attraction states that you are the cause of everything that happens in your life. You attract all things by use of your focus.

In other words, by changing your focus or unifying it, you can manifest and experience any reality right now.

Your mind acts as a receiving station that attracts the physical counterpart of your dominating thoughts.

So everything in your life (the place you stay, your clothes, your relationships, your phone, your “problems”, your dislikes) are all things you’ve wanted and/or may even feel you deserve.

Just as your dominating thoughts change, so does your reality.

Not only are you a figure in your own dream, but you are also the dreamer of the dream.

It’s all in your control.

Let’s learn how “dream” properly while sidestepping the common mistakes.

1. Focusing on materials items

It’s no way around it. Nice things are nice things.

You can’t always explain why you like something; you just know that you do.

Those things seem to make you happy. They can include a pretty face, a number in your bank account, a fresh pair of shoes, and/or a new JClay album. *hint hint*

The possibilities are endless.

Although possibilities are endless, material things have an end.

Herein lies the first contradiction.

You want more of what is finite choosing that over what is infinite.

By doing so you bring this into every aspect of your life. As the saying goes, you want what you can’t have.

You’ve set yourself an impossible mission being a slave of sorts to what will always fade.

Law of Attraction: Corrective Action #1

A better way is to focus instead on what is infinite and abundant. For instance, your being.

You are a human being and in this moment, you can be whatever you choose.

If you want to be happy, you can be happy. If you want to be angry, you can be that instead. It all depends on your choice.

By choosing something finite and outside of yourself to affect your being, you are going against the nature of what you are.

Besides, you only want material things because you believe it will make you happy. But if you get them, your happiness only remains as long as the item is interesting to you, which could be as little as an hour.

By choosing to be happy first and keeping your focus on that, you will attract all the material things naturally that will always add to your happiness. So when, for example, a favorite piece of clothing gets worn out, you’ll have an abundance of other favorite pieces of clothing.

2. Living in time

Both the past and the future seem to hold the key to everything you want.

The past shows ideas of “better” days that you would like to re-live today. The future shows ideas of “better” days that you would like to live someday.

In both cases, neither of these will ever come. Everything that has happened to you happened right now.

You’ve never been able to visit the past or the future. Yet in your mind, you visit there constantly.

By focusing on what isn’t here or never will be here, you are attracting more emptiness right now.

What is not here does not exist. To focus on the lack of something is to attract more lack into your life.

Whatever you focus on, you experience. And you experience whatever you focus on.

So how can you really ever be without what you focus on?

You can’t. You’ve again set yourself on an impossible task by wanting more of what can never be.

Law of Attraction: Corrective Action #2

Instead of focusing on lack, place your focus and attention on what exists right now.

There are many opportunities and chances for you to get exactly what you really want right here and right now. You simply cannot see them because you are looking away.

Ground yourself in this moment. Be present. Use meditation or music to help.

When you focus on what is, you will see everything that you’ve ever attracted waiting for you.

3. Believing in positive and negative

One of the big things with the law of attraction is that if you focus on positive thoughts, you will attract positive things.

But what exactly is a positive thought?

A positive thought is said to be a thought that focuses only on what is good.

The problem with that is that to define something as positive or good, you give birth to its opposite, negative and bad.

Else there would be no need to even define or judge the thing. By judging it as good, you are declaring that there is bad in this world so your judgment of what is good is needed.

It’s like asking someone if they know who you are? If you have to ask, they obviously don’t know.

Similarly, if you have to declare something as good, you obviously don’t believe it wholly yet. If you did, there would be no need to mention it, except only when asked.

Law of Attraction: Corrective Action #3

Instead of giving your judgment to things and situations, don’t.

It may feel difficult at first, but your judgment is never needed. A thing will be what it is without you declaring it as such.

In addition, forgive your past judgments. You may have judged incorrectly.

Your wisdom cannot exceed your current level of understanding.

Since you seem to be wiser now, it may be wise to reassess your somewhat unwise judgments.

Let them all go.

4. Having no purpose

Nothing can outlive its purpose.

When you have no further use for a thing, you throw, hide, or give it away.

The same is true for what you would like to attract.

If you have no purpose for attracting it, it will always seem to flee from your grasp.

That which you chase will always run away.

Law of Attraction: Corrective Action #4

To remedy this, always set your purpose for whatever it is you want.

If you want money, know why you want money and be ready to use it purposefully.

Doing things purposefully does not mean you have to have a divine reason for doing something. It just means you are taking your rightful place in the cause/effect spectrum.

As you know, all things are cause and effect. Your thoughts are the cause of all that you seem to experience.

Yet you sometimes let effects be your cause. This is backward.

Being purposeful allows you to recognize that you are the cause.

5. Your Wants Are Contradictory

This was touched on briefly above with setting impossible missions or tasks.

Contradictory wants are when you want one thing, but you also want the opposite.

For example, you want to eat what you consider healthy, but you also want to eat what you consider as not healthy.

Another example is you may want to be loved, but you don’t love yourself. Or to state it another way, you want others to love you unconditionally, but you don’t love others without conditions.

If you are truly willing to look, you can find these contradictions everywhere.

As far as the law of attraction is concerned, when your wants are contradictory, values get priority.

The law of attraction is not so much “like attracts like”, but “values attract values”.

When you value drama more than you do peace, even if you say hundreds of peaceful affirmations a day, you’ll still attract drama.

How do you know what you value?

First, listen to what you share with others. When you’re talking to your best friend, take notice of all the things you want to tell him or her.

You can only share what you have to share, and what you share, you feel you are.

If you share love always, then you’re a loving person.

But if you share love sometimes and hateful comments other times, then you’re both loving and hateful, which means nothing, lol, because these both cancel each other out.

So pick a side. Go full force on your values.

Another way to know exactly what you value is to pay attention to how you speak when you speak of things.

For instance, if you speak in a bland manner about your job, but excitingly when speaking about what happened on your favorite television show, then you value that television show, but not your job so much.

Law of Attraction: Corrective Action #5

Get a buddy to point out your mistakes.

We all enjoy pointing out mistakes from time to time, but this time is special. You are giving your friend full permission to correct you every time.

Tell your buddy that any time you do or say something contradictory, they get to correct you immediately.

After a few times, you’ll be more aware and able to notice these contradictions before you share them.

Sometime after, you’ll be fully in alignment with all of your thoughts.

6. Your Actions Are Contradictory

This mistake is very similar to the above, but it deserves its own section.

It’s true that your actions follow your wants in the same way that an effect follows its cause.

As was also stated earlier, you may have the habit of letting an effect be your cause.

In this way, you should also correct your actions because they can be based on a purposeless cause.

The purposeless cause is beautifully reflected within the Five Monkeys Experiment. For those unfamiliar, watch this minute and a half video that explains it beautifully.

Law of Attraction: Corrective Action #5

To not have contradictory actions, self-awareness is still a priority here. Pay attention to your thoughts, words, and actions.

Question your beliefs and know why you do what you do.

Use a law-of-attraction journal if you have to.

If you don’t understand why ask for help? Many are willing to give great advice for free.

When you find yourself acting in a manner that’s contradictory to what you want, stop yourself immediately. There is no benefit to continuing in this manner.

During a later time of mindful reflection, decide what would have been a better course of action.

Then welcome all similar circumstances as an opportunity to show you are aligned with what you want to attract.

7. Not fully understanding vibrational match

This common mistake is a big one!

It may even want to make you exit this article immediately and never read another word I write. But stick with me because knowing this will change EVERYTHING!

A victim and his or her oppressor are a vibrational match. They attract each other.

Woah!

Let me explain how this works within the law of attraction with the following example.

When you believe that there are “bad” people in the world and that they can take something from you, you begin to move accordingly. You take certain precautions on how you go about your day.

But since you are the cause of all things in your life, in order for your movements to make sense, you must see examples of these “bad” people.

So if anyone matches this description, they are brought into your awareness.

Sometimes this can be from afar and other times it can be up close & personal.

It doesn’t end there. Once you’ve crossed paths with an individual (set by the intentions you’ve set through your beliefs), you share this with as many people as possible.

You become an advocate for these “bad” people you’ve attracted thus attracting more. You may even become an expert on them.

In other cases, you may begin to hide away from the world fearing your own imagined creation.

As the saying goes, opposites attract. But now you understand how they aren’t opposites at all.

They serve as witnesses to one another.

Law of Attraction: Corrective Action #7

First, focus on what you are, not what you aren’t.

For example, if you aren’t “bad” then don’t focus on “bad” people.

You’ve already unknowingly used the law of attraction to attract those that are just as you are.

Your friends, family, and workmates may share similar values.

Once your values change, so will your environment and the people in it.

There is never a need to fear another. In reality, you aren’t fearing them. You are only fearing your imagined idea of them.

The Law of Attraction Recap

Smile. You now know exactly what to do to manifest what you think will add to your joy.

To make this complete, I want to point out a simple way to attract the greatest life possible, not just what you think will add to your happiness.

Being.

When you are … or when you are in a state of being, you are saying that you fully trust God and/or the universe.

You are affirming that you have no needs and are complete.

Without you creating the need for you to need anything, you will never be without anything.

If you had the keys to the universe, would you trust them to someone always searching for something more or someone that is perfectly content no matter what?

Be.

All of the ACTION STEPS

Focus on what is abundant.

Live in the present moment always.

Don’t judge anything and forgive your past judgments.

Do everything purposefully.

Be consistent with what you want.

Ensure your actions are in line with your desires.

Understand that to judge anything is to create circumstances where it will manifest in your life.

BONUS – Be.

I’ll admit, I’m late on this. I never placed great value on telling a person Happy Birthday. My thinking has been along the lines of … “Every day is special. Let’s celebrate all the days.”

I still agree with that, but I’ve come around to understand the extra magic that surrounds celebrating birthdays.

Besides, “Happy birthday” is a positive affirmation and today is my actual birthday.

So for a limited time, I’m accepting gifts.

Here are a few suggestions for great gifts:

Merch – $$-$$$ – you get something fly that reminds you to be your true self and it helps me to keep making great content that you love

Follow me on my social accounts (links in the footer) – FREE – you will get positivity reminders throughout the day

Donate – $-$$$$$ – you’ll feel all tingly inside and you’ll be helping me to extend this message of love to more people that need it

Share your favorite song/post of mine – FREE – you’ll be directly enriching the lives of those that see your shares

Do all of the above – PRICELESS – you’ll be recognized as an awesome person that loves life and the people in it

The Realization

Before a couple of years ago, I never really bothered telling people other than close friends and family “Happy birthday!” I always thought that they are already getting bombarded with text messages and phone calls that they don’t need another.

Well, I was wrong. I noticed two birthdays ago that every time a person said it to me, I felt good inside. It was weird. I even questioned this as I do all things. Why does this make me feel good and loved? The only answer I received from within was, “Don’t question it; just accept it.” Accept it I did.

From then on, I decided to tell everyone I knew Happy Birthday on his or her actual birthday. It’s a simple gesture that has a chance of adding joy to one’s day.

However, this wasn’t as easy as it seemed … at first.

I didn’t really know people’s birthdays. And since my birthday is so easy to remember considering that it falls on Christmas Eve, I used it as an excuse to not remember others’ birthdays like…”How dare they not have an easy-to-remember birthday?” Trust me, I know how this sounds.

Finding the birthdays

I used a few tools to make this process easier: Facebook, an app called hip, and Google. On Facebook, I have my notifications turned off. There are just too many and it’s easier for me to go on at free intervals and interact. So I’m not sure if Facebook notifies you of birthdays or not.

I started with my close friends whose birthdays I didn’t know. The easier way would be to just ask them but remember, I’m supposed to have already known this because they are my close friends. So I would look at their Facebook profile.

Then there are those friends that have hidden their birthday on Facebook. If that’s you, undo it. You’re missing out on hundreds of great messages on your day.

For these friends, I had to get help from good ol’ Google.

I live in TX and in TX your info is everywhere for free. I can type “Jelani Clay birthday” and a few sites would pop up claiming to know my information. The other information isn’t always true, but my birthday is.

I’m not really worried about my information being used maliciously, because I believe everything happens for our highest good. Plus if I really wanted to, I could opt out of all of these sites.

Anyway, I can usually find most friends’ birthdays via this method.

There were still a few friends that have managed to keep their birthdays hidden publicly everywhere. For that, I would contact a mutual friend and say something like, “Hey, when is Person’s birthday again. I always forget to wish him/her a happy birthday, but they always wish me one. I wanna be ready this year.”

Just make sure that the person you ask is a person that you’ve already been telling Happy Birthday to. If not, that could be awkwardddd.

After I found their birthdays, I saved them to the hip app. This app lets you get birthday reminders the day of or days before. You can customize per contact/group and be notified of anniversaries as well.

The Birthday Experiment

With an app full of birthdays, I was ready to proceed with my experiment. The experiment was to see the effects of telling everyone I know Happy Birthday for a year.

The first thing I did was set a phone notification to pop up at 7 am that says, “Tell friends Happy Birthday.” I also have the hip notifications pop up at 7 am.

For friends I have more of a relationship with, I will either call or text to wish them a happy birthday.

For those that I may not know too well yet, I’ll go to the birthday tab on Facebook and wish them one as well.

Pro tip: This is a great way to clean out your Facebook friends. If I go to a person’s page where they haven’t posted in over two years and I don’t remember who they are, I’ll just unfriend. If they haven’t been on there in over 2 years, chances are they won’t see your birthday message.

I’ve done this for a full year now. I’ve only missed a couple of days, in which case I’ll just say, “Happy belated birthday!”

The Birthday Results

I see why so many businesses will tell you Happy Birthday.

This experiment has led to renewed relationships, me feeling connected to each person, and overall gratitude.

I will definitely continue doing this.

Because you aren’t asking for anything, it seems weird to receive gratitude by telling someone else happy birthday. Yet, the feeling is there.

This serves as another example of how giving and receiving are one, and brings new meaning to being “selfish”. By wanting to receive joy for yourself, you can give joy to all and ensure it.

Give the freest, simplest, easiest gift you can give to your loved ones. Tell them Happy Birthday.

P.S. Don’t forget, I’m accepting gifts!

This article was written by JClay, the spiritual rapper and healer. Visit JClay for more wisdom, music, and insights.

Ever since man has taken breath, there has been idol worship. Some see this as a “sin” and others don’t even realize they’re worshipping something.

The effects of idol-worship can be seen in a variety of illnesses, both mental and physical. That which you idolize becomes a source of your wellbeing. Therefore if what you idolize is limited in any way, your experience will be that of lack.

By removing the cause, you render their effects ineffective.

Let’s talk about the cause.

What Are Idols & What Is Idol Worship?

Abrahamic religions, namely Christianity, Judaism, and Islam state that you should not worship someone or something other than God.

These are what idols are…people or things that you consider greater than yourself and/or God.

Worship is the practice of giving honor and glory to your idol.

The word worship is a combination of “worth” and “ship”. It’s the complete body of worth you give a thing.

Within you, you have the power to appreciate. You can give value to many things that are seemingly worthless. Through repetition, it can be confusing to tell the two apart. You start to believe that what you have given worth to is now worth more than yourself, especially if others have given value to the same thing.

Below are 7 idols that you may be worshipping without even realizing it and how they are affecting your life.

1. The Body

The people of the world seem to be fascinated with the human body. The shapes, structure, and feel of it are all beloved by many. Having a body is of course what all people seem to have in common.

People love the body so much that when their idea of the perfect body is not in line with the body they seem to possess, the body then becomes a source of pain and struggle.

By possession, I’m referring to the body that you’re currently operating and the ones you feel are yours through special relationships (ie “my” partner’s body, “my” kid’s body, etc).

This can also appear true to those that have what’s considered a great body. They could create fear around losing it and exhausting great effort to maintain such a body.

In all of the above cases, the body is no longer considered a safe dwelling place, but a symbol of pain.

Even though your mind controls your body, you allow your body to dictate your thoughts. This is clearly backward behavior.

Photo by Josue & Kerry of Friday Feels Production

How can one ever find peace & joy, when they seek comfort in an entity that is symbolic for causing and receiving pain?

Withdraw belief in your body as a source of wellness. Recognize it for what it is. Your body is an extension of your awareness. Use it only for what you would have in return.

Use it for love and not attack and you will receive love, not attack.

2. Your Identity

Are you your identity?

Your identity is who you think you are. It’s the thoughts and beliefs you carry into situations.

A lot about your identity is even unknown to you. It could be the way you pronounce words, your word choice, how you feel about wealth, your thoughts against voting, etc.

A couple of years ago I was in London walking down the street at a touristy spot and a drunk guy looked at me and shouted, “Americaaaaannnn…hahahaha!” There were many people from different cultures and races that were in the vicinity. I had not spoken a word, but something about the way I carried myself led him to believe I was American, well United Stadian. He was right. The same can be said for the judgment I made of him in thinking that he was drunk.

Identity itself is not a problem. It’s only when you give tremendous value to who you think you are, that it becomes the problem. You have attached yourself to something that isn’t real and it hinders your abilities.

The reason I say that your identity isn’t real is that it’s constantly changing. How can something that changes have any real substance? It’s here one second and gone the next.

Yet some of your biggest worries come from holding on to this identity. It can prevent you from quitting a job that you hate, dating a person you find extremely attractive, taking on a new hobby that interests you, and more.

Your identity plays tricks on you causing you to question everything like:

I’ve succeeded at everything, what if I fail at this?

Am I a hypocrite for wanting something different?

Will my spouse not like me when I change?

Will my culture think I’m not real?

What will my family think?

How can you ever find peace & joy in an identity when the idea of holding on to it, stops you from fully living and expressing yourself in every moment?

Again, your identity is who you think you are. It’s the thoughts and beliefs you carry into situations. But these can change depending on your preferences at any moment. Because of this change, then your identity can never be you. You exist beyond your identity.

Don’t be afraid to shed your limited identity for your unlimited nature. If you’re going to practice idol worship, at least worship your true self.

3. Special Relationships

This one right here, special relationships, is one idol we seemed to be born into. Special relationships are those we put over any other (ie “my” spouse, “my” best friend, “my” parent, “my” teammate, etc.)

Google’s explore page reported the earth’s population in 2018 was 7.5 billion people. In America, the average person knows 600 people and has 9 close friends.

Let’s say you considered all 600 people “special”, that’s less than 1% of the population. In fact, that’s less than 1% of 1% of the population.

The reason I point this out is that by identifying certain individuals as special, you are limiting yourself greatly. You are limiting who you are willing to share with and who can share with you. As a result, you may even fear those that you don’t have a relationship with.

In addition, you may fear the loss of special relationships because you think that it will leave a void within you. Since relationships don’t seem to last past major disagreements or death, you are again placing your value in something that will run out.

Family are just people you are familiar (family-ar) with. Relatives are just people relative to your point of birth. They are not more valuable or special than anyone else. This is not to say that you should not love your family, it’s the opposite. This is to say that you should love everyone as much as you love your family.

This concept explains why it was so easy for you to make friends as a child. You didn’t devalue potential friends by judging them.

How you act towards a person affects how they react toward you. By leading with love, you welcome love.

In this way, your sense of happiness is never tied to a special relationship. If you are apart from another, it won’t be as noticeable because you will always be surrounded by many other loved ones.

The identity in you (ego) is probably saying, “This is sad news for the ones we’re apart from that don’t share this view.” Although this may be true, your identity is not as concerned with that person as it would have you believe. The ego is more concerned with protecting itself and its individuality. I won’t go into that topic in this article. However, I will say that as long as you teach and show others how awesome it is to lead with love, they will never be in a lonely-type situation ever again.

Release your created identity and reassume your natural one.

4. Money

You knew money was going to be on the list about idol worship. People like to claim that they don’t worship money, but that’s only because they are not taking an objective view of their relationship to it.

If you didn’t put money above yourself, you would never work a job that you didn’t like. The next logical thought is, “Well if I don’t make money, I’ll be homeless.” Will you? According to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development’s 2019 Annual Homeless Assessment Report, 0.17% of the US population were experiencing homelessness. Is this voluntary? We don’t know.

My point is when you make decisions based on money, you are at the mercy of it. No one is happy being controlled 100% of the time.

From the perspective of being unhappy because you have no money, you believe that having money will make you happy. The truth is, money was never your issue. Your issue is that you placed faith in something outside yourself, leaving yourself without faith.

Money is just a tool for cooperation. By being love and seeing all as loving, you will be a very cooperative person.

You won’t be controlled and you won’t seek to control. This will lead to all of your needs being met. But this takes the same faith in yourself that you’ve placed in other things.

5. Conflict

Who values conflict? Certainly not you. Or do you?

Quick test:

When someone says either Black Lives Matter or All Lives Matter, are you ready to write that person off in an instant?

When someone says they voted for Trump or they voted for Obama, are you ready to call this person ignorant?

Are you drawn to television shows that have massive amounts of drama?

If you’ve answered yes to any one of these questions, conflict may be a form of idol worship in your life. This idol is tied closely to the egoic identity. You believe in wrongdoings and that punishment is the only way to atone. Not only do you seek to punish others, you expect punishment for yourself. As a result, you feel a sense of satisfaction when others are punished. This increases your faith in it causing you to worship it even more.

As you can see, conflict is the source of so much pain in your life. In many ways, conflict is pain and vice versa.

When you aren’t so tied to your identity, other’s opinions won’t matter. You’ll know that the truth needs no validation so there’s no point in arguing for it.

6. The World

As much as you would say things against the world, you love it! You wouldn’t change a thing. You would still want all of the corruption and scandalousness, you would just want to be above it.

However, you can’t separate apart from something while you still believe in it because everything real comes from the same source. The rest is simply an illusion. Are you aligned with truth or illusion?

This means that what one can do, all can do. What can affect another, can affect you. But it would be more accurate to say that what you cause seems to affect you and everyone.

You see only what you’ve placed your value in.

By placing value in a world that exists outside of yourself, you are thus investing in hiding from yourself.

You are projecting your beliefs outward to rid yourself of the ones you no longer want. But a projection is but a mirror to the slides within.

To truly be rid of guilt, pain, and shame, you must let these things go, not project them onto others. To project them is to keep them.

To give any attention to any illusion is to attempt to keep it alive. To keep it alive you must idolize it. Without your constant appreciation of it, the world you created would one day lose its value. You would then be free to return to reality, which many have referred to as heaven.

7. Time

You can’t trust time. It’s not always the same. A second is not a second and a day is not a day.

Try being in a place you don’t want to be for an hour while staring at the clock. It will take a lifetime just to complete that hour.

On the other hand (pun intended), try being in a place you want to be for an hour while staring at the clock. You will probably forget to look at the clock because time at this point is meaningless.

Don’t let time dictate where you should be in life. But as long as you believe in time, you might as well make it useful to you.

The more times you perform a specific behavior or set of behaviors, the behaviors become automatic. Use time to forgive and love all. Before you know it, nothing will ever bother you again and time will cease to exist.

It’s “time” to stop idol worship.

You will be above all littleness and ready to accept your abundance.

All Idols

All idols are false and thus idol worship is false. They are symbols of symbols. Symbols are never as good as the real thing. If so, seeing the word chocolate would be as satisfying as eating it.

Place your faith and value in something that never fades. Place it where your faith in it will always be returned in greater amounts.

This “thing” has many names: Love, God, All.

Love is formless. God is eternal. All is well.

How easy it is to let go of the false idols depends on how focused & committed you are.

When you recognize yourself straying, take “time” to place your faith where it could never leave.

Is your family toxic? How can you be sure?

First off, I commend you for even clicking on this article. There are many that would encourage you to remove yourself from the presence of toxic people immediately. You have shown that you want to try a different approach. Or maybe you are in a situation where you can’t get away so easily. Either way, you made the right choice.

By the end of this article, you’ll know how to identify toxic people, how to be free of them forever, and how to always be in a loving environment. Therefore, I encourage you to read to the end.

“If you think you are enlightened, go spend a week with your family.” -Ram Dass

What Makes a Person Toxic?

Before we dive into what you should do around toxic people, let’s get on the same page about what a toxic person really is.

A 2016 article on Psychology Today listed the 8 things that most toxic people in your life have in common. These 8 things are:

They are not caring, supportive, or interested in what’s important to you.

They take no responsibility for their own feelings.

They make you prove yourself to them.

They make you defend yourself.

Toxic people are manipulative.

They are inconsistent.

They don’t apologize.

They are judgmental.

To sum it up, a toxic person is an energy vampire. They feed off your “life force” so that they can build themselves up.

Let’s break down 3 of these because all 8 are basically saying the same things in a different way, which is, “I matter more than you.”

1. They are not caring, supportive, or interested in what’s important to you.

Because you can only see through the eyes of your beliefs, you want what’s important to you to be also important to everyone. As a result, you understand that everyone wants that as well for themselves.

Or do you?

Let’s say you’re in a situation where a family member wants a goal for you that is in direct opposition to the goal you want for yourself. This can result in conflict, especially since you don’t understand why they won’t just support you. It is of course, your life.

At the same time, you are not supporting them in the way they want to support you. They feel that they are being selfless because they are “helping” you. Henceforward, you both exhibit toxic behavior toward one another by not being supportive in the way the other wants.

Does that make you a toxic person or just a person with toxic behavior? Let’s come back to this question later.

2. They take no responsibility for their own feelings.

Everyone has met that person who blames everyone else for their troubles. They say things like, “You never support me. You make me so angry. This is all your fault…”

All the while, they never look at themselves.

It can seem very difficult to be around such people because they only think of themselves and never even think to support you. Instead, they just make you angry. It’s their fault that you even get angry at all.

Wait a minute…it seems like you are doing to them what you are accusing them of doing to you.

So does that make you a toxic person or just a person reacting to toxic behavior in a toxic way? You don’t have to answer this right now either.

3. They make you prove yourself to them.

As described above, toxic people want you to prove that you love them by doing something you may not want to do. They want you to support them in some way or even do them a favor. When you don’t, they complain about it saying you don’t care about them. They may even list examples of when they helped you.

Observe what feelings surface in response to the following questions.

Have your family and friends proved themselves to you yet?

Do they even have to?

How do you feel when you ask them for a favor and they don’t come through?

Do you feel similar to what was described above of the toxic person?

If you feel similar to that of a toxic person, does that make you a toxic person?

The Pattern of Toxicity

You’re starting to see a pattern. A person is not really toxic, they just exhibit toxic behavior from time to time. They are inconsistent in that way, which is one of the listed traits.

It’s also starting to look like you are the toxic person you claim another to be. This is because there is no separation between what you feel and what you experience.

Whenever a person experiences an unwanted feeling, he thinks that separating it from himself will lead to him feeling better. To try and separate it, he projects this behavior onto another thus creating his own enemy in a sense.

This is a major breakthrough because you can begin to see how you’ve also done this. Once you are aware, you can make the necessary changes.

What To Remember About Energy Vampirism

If someone can take your energy, this means that someone can also give you energy. Similarly, if someone can be toxic, this means someone can be a cure.

It is as easy to focus on the energy drainers as it is to focus on the energy givers. Since what you focus on expands, it’s better to focus on the energy givers instead.

Instead of just focusing on the energy givers, what if you could become an energy giver?

A lot of people believe that to give is to lose, but in reality, to give is to receive.

This is why when you project to separate, you still experience what you’re projecting.

You can try this experiment right now.

Give a genuine compliment to someone. Observe their reaction and yours. You would observe how happy they get and how much more happy it makes you.

Now, criticize someone harshly. Ok, you don’t have to do this one. That bad feeling that you felt in your heart shows that you don’t really want to give that because you know that you’ll receive it. And in some ways, just by thinking it, you already have.

Being A Energy Giver, Being the Cure

Check out this shift in perspective.

A toxic person wants to feel better by either taking your energy or making you feel smaller.

On the flip side, an energy giver wants you to feel better by either giving you energy or making you feel better.

The same result is applied, but everybody feels better about it. By being an energy giver, you also receive the energy you gave but in greater amounts. That’s all a “toxic” person wants.

Don’t talk about my drawing.

The next time a “toxic” person comes your way, willingly give them that love that they are really asking for. You will have cured them of their toxicity making your environment toxic-free and peaceful.

The Role Your Family & Friends Play In Your Life

In truth, the only toxic person you’ve ever perceived is yourself. Now that you know how not to be toxic, you won’t perceive it in others.

Because your loved ones are so close to you, they can bring up feelings that you would not care to have around others.

What’s special about this is they are reflecting your innermost thoughts. They are showing you what you need to overcome to remain happy. How can a person such as that ever be toxic? They are your savior.

Will you try to see the world another way? Let me know in the comments.
